We’ve updated how you save images to introduce a more useful way to collect and curate the inspiration you discover on Dwell. Now when you save a photo, article, or product while you're logged in it will be added to a collection.
What exactly has changed about how I save images?
Saving a photo remains largely the same, and you can still save any image on Dwell to your profile. What’s changed are the ways you can organize and easily find the images you’ve saved.
What is a Collection?
A collection is a visual diary to keep track of the products, projects, and themes that inspire you most from Dwell’s global coverage of innovative architecture and design. Whether you’re planning a DIY renovation, dreaming of a wooded A-frame or playing around with color and trend ideas for the neglected corner of your living room, collections are a playground for the ways you dream, plan, read or shop with us.
I used to use saves to refer to specific Dwell articles. Can I still see those?
If you’ve previously saved an article, it will appear in your new Favorites collection as an image. The link to the article will still be available for your reference via the “Also Appears in” link displayed on the right hand column when viewing a particular image.
Where did my previous saves go?
Any photo or article you saved prior to this feature update will now display in a new “Favorites” collection on your profile. The Favorites collection can be renamed. You can also view everything you’ve saved in the Saves section of your profile.
As you start saving new images, you can continue to add them to your Favorites collection or create a new collection and add the image there. Your Favorites collection can act as a catchall for things you find that you don’t want to put in other collections.
